Description

Songs of Harvest CD Write Up

Volume 1

Chantal Pelser leads an ensemble of Worshippers in this live recording at a Summit in Wellington, South Africa, commemorating a fulfilment of a prophecy saying by 2015 there would be a great harvest in this move of God. Believers from six continents worshipped together in celebration of “God Almighty” and we celebrated doing the “Works of Jesus over 3 festive days.

The theme of thanksgiving continued with “Thank You”. “Chosen Fast” is summary of the type of fast God requires from Isaiah 58. There is a Ska type of song with brass section by a brother and sister duo: Michelle and Daniel Louw that is part of the band’s exploration of musical genres.

The Collins brothers: Dale, Leigh and Eric along with Leigh’s son, Kristofor, play two versions of “I’ll Never Leave You.” The blues is a cool reminder of Jesus’ promise to us. The song takes a turn in the Cape and reflects the ‘Kaapse Klopse Ghoema’ style of music to play out.

The CD ends with Prophet Nola singing a blessing over South Africa and proclaiming that: “The Lord is Good.”
